LA Green Festival's "Art for the Planet" Contest

High school students! Submit your work to the LA Green Festival's "Art for the Planet" Contest. The Festival will be held on Nov 17-18, is inviting Southern California high school students to create artwork with themes relating to the most pressing environmental and social issues of our time. This is a wonderful opportunity for young artists to present their work in a high profile venue. Deadline for submission is November 1st at 5pm.

What are they looking for?
Los Angeles Green Festival and Arts Earth Partnership (AEP) present the “Art for the Planet” Contest. They invite Southern California high school students to create artwork with themes relating to the most pressing environmental and social issues of our time, these include:
• global climate change
• ocean pollution
• waste diversion and recycling
• rainforest destruction
• water conservation
• alternative energy
• toxic chemical usage
• species extinction
• pesticide-free food production
• air pollution
• loss of biodiversity
• indigenous cultures
• fair trade
• human trafficking
• environmental justice

Who’s Eligible?
Southern California high school students.

Deadline
November 1, 2012 by 5pm
