Kheuthmy Khambay fulfilled that dream. In 2007, she painted her way to her very first art show called the Ah-Loy Show; she came out of hiding to reveal her dream and talent from her friends and families. With that success, she plans on doing a show every year with a new theme to showcase her talent.
Kheuthmy was born in Savahnakhet, Laos but grew up in Saint Louis, MO and Saint Petersburg, FL. There was one person who stood out from the rest while growing up, her Uncle Thai Khambay. She was inspired and mesmerized by his drawings. At the age of 8, she began drawing with him. She also became interested in Film and Video. Luckily, the strength, determination and blessings were encouraged in those interests by her parents. That drove her to excel. She graduated with a degree in Commercial Arts along with a Film and Video Production degree at Full Sail University. Soon after, she received an internship at Women In Film and Director, (Bobbi Frank). No obstacle was too great for Khambay to overcome it seemed!
Khambay's accomplishments did not end there; she opened up her own casting company with her partner, (Corinne Broskette), called Golden Eyes Casting. In 2007, however, Khambay realized her biggest dream: She did an Art Show. A year later, in the works she's planning on another one.
Today, she wants encourage and inspire art to help people to enjoy not only for them but to the whole world. Her life teaches us to follow our dreams and take the step, no matter how great!
