Dr. Jodi Gusek is Vice President at Frank N. Magid Associates, Inc., a world leader in research-based consultation, where she began her career in strategic market research and consulting for media, entertainment and hi-tech companies. She specializes in providing research-based strategic insights and consulting to build strategies for product development, user-interface design, programming, branding and marketing.
Prior to rejoining Magid, Jodi worked at various agencies in leadership roles including Siegel + Gale, a global strategic branding and marketing consulting company, Hall & Partners and 2CV, Inc. As Senior Vice President, Corporate Research at Gemstar-TV Guide International, Jodi supported all of the company’s business operations in media and technology (including network, magazine, online, mobile, consumer electronics, interactive program guides, and new product development) by initiating strategic research and overseeing all research activities as TV Guide built upon its expertise and credibility as the authority on providing meaningful and engaging guidance solutions in a fast-shifting, multi-platform media marketplace.
She has 20+ years of multi-platform expertise working with broadcast and cable networks, studios, syndicators, MVPDs (cable & satellite), Internet companies, electronic game publishers, and mobile service providers. Jodi has also been an adjunct professor at the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California, where she developed and periodically teaches a masters-level course on strategic uses of marketing communications research.
Jodi graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Communication Theory and Research, from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California. Prior to graduate studies, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of California-Berkeley.
