The Venice Arts Gallery opened in 2004. Our Gallery & Public Programs present high-caliber, documentary-genre photography and film; widen the platform for documentary storytellers and their work; and deepen opportunities for artists and audiences in Los Angeles interested in stories of change to connect through exhibitions and interactive public programming.
The Gallery hosts an average of six exhibitions annually featuring professional, participant, and youth artists. These include an annual culminating exhibition of innovative work by young artists in our Art Mentoring & Education program, solo exhibitions of compelling new work in contemporary photography, an annual juried exhibition curated around a different theme each year, which highlights new perspectives on photography, film, multimedia, and digital arts in Los Angeles and beyond.
Our exhibition program is complemented by free film screenings and other Public Programs that engage our community in conversation with artists, educators, and idea-makers. For a list of past exhibitions and programs, click here
The Gallery is available for rental for both exhibitions and special events.
