Crystel Astuhuaman is a young Peruvian-American artist born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia as the child of two hard-working immigrants. With a love of theater and film in high school, she moved to the Midwest to attend Columbia College Chicago's Cinema Arts & Science program, graduating in 2017. In Chicago, she worked with The Makerspace (formerly The Workroom) and various student-produced films and web series. Her crafts range from 2D illustration, 3D Computer modeling and stop motion animation to costume design and makeup artistry. She is always aiming to expand her own skills and that of other artists in the creative spaces she supports.
