Venice Arts at Sundance NextFest 2016

Two Venice Arts Film Program students--Korey V. and Rise B.-- screened a film from the 2015 Intermediate Filmmaking Workshop titled 'Daydream Believer' in front of a huge crowd at the Sundance NextFest 2016. They were introduced by actor Craig Robinson, addressed an enthusiastic crowd of hundreds of audience members, and screened their short film to great and raucous applause. They were feted like VIPs, and an incredible time was had by all! A very special thanks to Charlie Reff and to Moira Griffin at Sundance for their tremendous support in making this event so special for our youth!

Venice Arts students Korey and Rise were given the opportunity of a lifetime when Venice Arts was invited to participate in a youth talent show hosted by actor Craig Robinson, prior to the screening of Morris From America at Sundance Next Fest 2016 on Saturday, August 13. The purpose of the talent show was to showcase the hard work and creative talent of L.A.'s youth, and also featured students from Inner-City Arts and 826LA. Korey and Rise introduced and screened their film in front of a massive, captive audience.
