CENTER FOR CREATIVE WORKFORCE EQUITY

About

Our Center for Creative Workforce Equity builds programs and partnerships that contribute to a more equitable and inclusive creative sector. Programs are designed for talented, low-income young people, ages 18-24, as well as alumni of Venice Arts Creative Pathways programs (since 2008), who require job development support (e.g., those re-entering the workforce). Priority is given to those who have been foster, unhoused, or justice involved, are BIPOC, and/or are LGBTQIA+. All programs are completely free-of-charge.

Participants are paid to learn at Venice Arts. Our Digital Storytelling Fellowship and Editing Pre-Apprenticeship provide full tuition scholarships, plus a financial stipend to help participants fully commit to their learning. Graduates receive priority for internships, apprenticeships, and jobs. Check-out their work, here!

Our Creative Conversations series—open to all—offers the opportunity to be in conversation with creative sector professionals and to build the networks so important to success. Learn more about our programs, below.

We couldn’t do it without our partners: The Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and the American Rescue Plan Act; the Golden Globes Foundation,; NBCUniversal Creative Impact Lab; United Talent Agency; Sony Pictures Entertainment.; and the W.M. Keck Foundation. Special thanks, as well, to our many creative sector partners who provide both learning and work experiences to our participants!
