Program Intern

Venice Arts is excited to offer a paid Program Intern opportunity through the LA County Arts Internship Program. This dynamic role provides hands-on experience in media arts education, youth mentorship, and nonprofit operations, supporting programs that empower low-income youth through photography and film. From preparing for summer camp to assisting in workshops, events, and outreach efforts, interns play a vital role in creating a welcoming, creative environment while gaining real-world skills in education, communications, and program management. This position runs from June through December and is ideal for undergraduate students passionate about arts access, storytelling, and community impact. Please note this internship is part of the Arts Internship Program with LA County.‍ ‍

Teaching Assistants

Venice Arts is seeking passionate and creative Teaching Assistants to support its Media Arts and Mentoring program this summer. This hands-on role is perfect for emerging artists interested in education, offering the opportunity to work closely with youth ages 9–18 in photography, film, and mixed media. Teaching Assistants collaborate with Lead Teaching Artists to facilitate workshops, provide technical and creative support, and mentor students in a dynamic, community-centered environment. Volunteer Artist Mentor

Venice Arts’ Media Arts Education + Mentoring (MAE) program offers a volunteer opportunity to serve as a Mentor. Mentors provide support to youth ages 9-18. Alongside the Lead Teaching Artist and a Teaching Assistant, Mentors are members of the faculty team. A typical MAE workshop consists of 8 to 12 youth, Venice Arts aims to provide a mentorship ratio of 1 faculty member to 4 or less youth. This ratio is especially beneficial for working in small groups and providing 1:1 youth support.
