Venice Arts invites youth ages 16-24 to participate in a 2-day Photo Assistant Workshop series to expand knowledge and access to the world of professional photography!

This workshop offers a practical introduction to finding work as a photo assistant. Students will begin with a hands-on session covering essential studio practices, including the proper use of grip equipment, before moving into a broader discussion of the industry and how to navigate it.

The course is designed to equip students with the vocabulary, technical skills, and understanding of professional standards needed to pursue and secure meaningful work in the photography industry.

This masterclass series is FREE and will be taught by Eddie McShane,  a 15-year veteran of the photography industry, with extensive experience in studio environments spanning fashion, editorial, and portraiture, as well as architecture, still life, and interiors.
