June 7 - Help us answer the question: "WHY VOTE?"

Thanks to a generous grant from LA2050, we threw a #PartyatthePolls and you were the guest of honor! Not only did Venice Arts serve as a polling place for the California Primary Elections on June 7th, we will also hosted a professionally run photo booth to capture the many different reasons people vote. The #VeniceVotes project has become a living album of portraits that speak to the uniqueness of Venice and the vital importance of civic engagement.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
It's simple!

1. VOTE! Venice Arts will serve as a polling place, but be sure to find your local spot here.

2. SNAP A PHOTO! Come to our student & teaching artist-run photo booth, tell us why voting rules, and strike a pose. We will be printing out your portraits on-site, and live uploading them to share on our website and Facebook. Or take a selfie and upload it yourself!

3. LIKE, TAG, & SHARE using the hashtags #PartyatthePolls and #VeniceVotes to encourage all of L.A. to go out and vote!

Can't make it to Venice Arts? No problem! Simply upload your own photo with a sign or a caption stating why voting matters to you. We will add it to our final project. Don't forget to tag it #PartyatthePolls and #VeniceVotes so we can find you.
