Arts education, exhibitions and public programs, communications and marketing, arts administration, media management, and more: we offer a range of internship opportunities that provide hands-on training to college students interested in pursuing or exploring a career in the arts. Internships are available during the academic year and in the summer months. Applicants are encouraged to identify special project funds available at their schools, or to explore receiving internship credit.
Getty Multicultural Undergraduate Internships
These positions have been filled for summer 2018.
The Education Intern will learn about the curatorial, archival, and educational aspects of a community-based arts education program by assisting with both the Art Mentoring Program and the Creative Pathways Program. This internship is Ideally suited for an individual with a strong interest in youth arts education.
public programs intern
The Public Programs Intern will learn how to coordinate and implement exhibitions and public programs focused on contemporary photography, documentary film, and new media, while assisting with our summer exhibition of work by photography Dotan Saguy, Venice Beach: The Last Days of a Bohemian Paradise.

FILM & animation education intern
The Filmmaking & Animation Education Intern learns how to maintain digital labs and equipment; prepare content to post online; archive media; and develops foundational skills and knowledge in arts education.
photography education Intern
The Photography Education Intern learns how to maintain a darkroom and/or digital lab and equipment; prepare content to post online; archive media; and develops foundational skills and knowledge in arts education.
The Development Intern learns about nonprofit fundraising, including grants research and events; fundraising data management software; and multi-platform fundraising strategies.
public programs & marketing intern
The Public Programs & Marketing Intern gains skills in exhibition installation; public program development; communications and marketing–including social media and traditional press outreach; and media archiving.
