Thank You Adobe + TakingITGlobal

We are proud to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from Adobe and TakingITGlobal (TIG) for our work on an Adobe Project Grant! This recognizes Venice Arts’ leadership in the creative non-profit organizations industry, and for our work in empowering the next generation of young artists.

This summer, with the support of the Adobe Project Grant and the TIG team, Venice Arts Advanced Filmmaking Students created Grounded: Homeless Perspectives, a multi-channel film project focused on the homeless crisis in Venice. Guided by Venice Arts Lead Filmmaker Carly Short, students explored the issue of homelessness by shooting scenes of Venice and interviewing community members, such as artist and “wanderer” Bumdog Torres. On the last day of Venice Arts’ Summer Media Arts Camp, students used monitors to play back their films and interviews, setting up audio and tents to create an immersive installation.

Thank you, Adobe + TIG team, for supporting Venice Arts, and helping make this project come to life!
